Six year old Betty Faul just received a very special delivery -- a dozen daffodils and a fuzzy little bear that will now join her other dolls.
"I like to bring them because they just comfort me and I like them to be around," said Betty Faul, of Colchester.
"I think it's really soft and I really like it," said Eden Adams, of Ohio.
Seven year old Eden Adams also received the daffodils and teddy bear. The donations are part of the American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days program. These bears were purchased by businesses and organizations to give to children with cancer.
"The money raised from daffodil day program will go towards cancer research, education, support programs and advocacy," said Chris Falk, of the American Cancer Society.
Dozens of children, like Betty and Eden, were given the flowers and bears to help them through their treatment.
"People are so kind and every kindness just gives her that much more strength, gives us that much more strength," said Elizabeth Adams, Eden's mom.
Eden has been battling neuroblastoma for several years -- Betty was diagnosed with leukemia in September. Two very different cancers, but both are equally as tough on these young girls.
"It's really hard," said Betty. "I have to get special medicines and sometimes I have to stay in the hospital over night."
"It's a life changing day and I don't think, there's nothing that can real describe that day until you've gone through something like that," said Jennifer Faul, Betty's mom.
And nothing can describe smile that one little teddy bear can bring to a child.
